This page is for lovers and haters of snow, as well as everyone in between. The idea came to me after coming across different Web pages on the internet over time, of other people's idea of "a lot of snow". Every time I would see their pictures, I would just shake my head, chuckle and think to myself, "They don't know snow." WE know snow. We live in the Buckle of the Snow Belt in the northeastern United States. I think most people that live here like it here and like or love the snow. Those who don't usually don't stay long. The many thousands of snowmobilers that descend on our area in December obviously do!
The Snoopynuts love the snow. We get out and snowshoe the trails and sled the hills and sometimes we're even lucky enough to do some downhill skiing.
So I bet you're thinking, "Well, Snoopynut? Exactly how MUCH snow do you get, hmm?" Well, as an example, during the winter of 2004-2005, when Mr. Snoopynut was working a twelve-hour day shift, we got about 7 feet of snow in that twelve-hour period! This isn't normal for us, mind you, but no one can argue it's a lot! A normal lake effect snowstorm usually nets us about 2 feet of snow. All told, we receive an average of about 180"-200" of snow in one winter!
So sit back and take a look at some of these awesome snow pictures!!
