"ELLIE"

Birth date: June 25, 2000 (Cancer)
Ellie is a nutty dog, that's all there is to it. When we originally got her, she reminded us of Honey. But as we grew to know her, we discovered her unique personality. Ellie was an abandoned 5 to 6- month-old stray when we found her on November 8, 2000 not far from our home, and we had every intention of trying to find her owners but it just wasn't meant to be. And the longer we had Ellie, the more we realized she deserved better anyway.
Ellie got her name from the word "elephant". Need I say more? She is part Beagle and part Lab, we call her a Blab. The Beagle part of her has kept her from being too large, thank God. We thought the Lab part of her would make her a good protector but we were wrong. We end up protecting her more than she does us. :) She's a real good dog, though, and loads of fun to walk, play with, take to the swimmin' hole in the summer and snowshoein' in the winter. She is very much a lap dog and always manages to find her way to someone's lap when they're on the couch.
