Marcie and Patty were "oops" babies, meaning they were found one day on the road. Come to think of it, just about all our pets started out that way. But I digress. They did come to us at a good time, although we didn't realize it at the time. Herb was driving to work on a cold, dark October morning of 2008 when they were both in the middle of the road, two small kittens. Of course he couldn't just leave them there so he called me and told me about them and headed back home with them. We had every intention of trying to adopt them out but after a week of them being sequestered in the basement in a cage awaiting adoption, Herb felt so bad he begged me to bring them upstairs and I said, "You know what will happen...." and of course, I was right. And the rest is history, as they say.
